Hi Gen, you guessed right! Yippee Yippee, 60 days completed. As always I owe a very big thank you to all of you. So.. THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU! I am happy for every month I get to say that. Whats made me even happier is to hear my quit buddy is back on her quit as of yesterday. I am really proud of her. Its got to be super tough to do that after being lured back by the nicodemons. Anyway this time she is going to call me before smoking. Festival season is over too which is good news. I think she will have learnt a lot this time around. Good day to you all. Can I just say it is a great day to be alive. Today I could just be the happiest man around. Today, the junkie in me is going to have a very hard time. I would say that for today, it doesn't even stand a chance. For someone with a supersized junkie, that is saying a lot. A huge big hug to everyone. Something special happens today. Can you guess what it is? Just in case anyone is feeling down. Here are some happy smileys to get you up and about. :) :) :) :) More to follow later today... :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 60 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,500 Amount Saved: 252.00 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 12 Mins: 54 Seconds: 52

Sue, I promise to wear the sufboard shirt when I reach the beach. I also promise not to smoke this weekend. Thanks for everyones promise. I look forward to seeing that. Aloha, I was waiting to see if anyone spotted any junkie creep into my statements. But I will practice them now. Maybe it was the junkie in me hoping that? I hadn't realised that until now. My junkie sure is pervasive in every thought! Right my plans for this weekend are to go for a run/walk and beat the junkie down in the process. Attempt to bring a turf back to life. Play some garden chess with my sister. Attempt to make an anniversary cake from scratch. As long as I get to lick the spoon I don't mind :) Lolo (hugs), I am watching. Phil, tell Jen no need for the rolling pins I will be a good boy. Kev, wow. I would notice and I am quite sure there would be a queue of others who noticed also. So there!! I love your analogy, story, all of it. I think you have a serious journaling calling, definately a part of your quit. Keep writing and I will buy a signed copy of your book!! I am still waiting patiently for Phil's autograph. :) Keep it up mate, I am waiting for you at the beach, wear the surf board shirt okay? Good one, Kev. Nice to have a mental picture of where you're going. I was with ya there...all the way to the end sentence....
I'll wait a couple of days before practicing it
Practicing what? Using your positive statements? If so, why wait? And yes! This is your quit! It was great that you and your r/t quit buddy could support each other there for a while, and I am sure you are disappointed that she didn't have what it took to see it through, but you do! She obviously isn't happy now that she is back to smoking, otherwise why would she have quit in the first place? Her addiction is happy, now that she is feeding it every 20-30 minutes, that is all. ok, enough. I pledge to you I will not smoke today or anytime this weekend. Gen, oh guarunteed. Its one family here and there would be a plate at the table but no Kev. In the same way I keep track of all my friends here like you, lolo, aloha and all the rest of the crew. I secretly breathe a sigh of relief when I see the post and and the smoke free count go up. Despite being only 32, there are some paternal instincts in there somewhere :) Anyway, I know the junkie is so wrong on so many counts. It is just hoping to get me at the lowest of the low when I am succeptable to suggestions. Not going to happen, not this week. Because I am about to re-inforce the positive messages in my mind. No doubt I will need reminding from time to time. as I always do :) I hope you liked the elevator analogy. I impressed myself with that one. Just hope I don't get sued for use of names in post :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 57 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,425 Amount Saved: 239.40 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 4 Mins: 26 Seconds: 27
