Keith I hope you got some sleep. I also hope you have someone there that you can lean on. While you need to be strong for everyone else, you also need to allow yourself to feel the sadness and grief. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 169 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,760 Amount Saved: $1,149.20 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 15 Mins: 29 Seconds: 28

Keith, Sometimes it is the hardest thing to talk to those closest to you. It is as though you want to spare them the pain that you are going through. I am very relieved to hear that Carol is recovering. Do not judge yourself too harshly. No-one else does. I hope you have been eventually able to sleep. It will get better Keith! Sleep will help. Time will help. It takes some time to heal those holes in our hearts when death visits, but they do heal. This is living in the circle of life. It is very precious, so hug your little ones and God Bless your wife and keep her safe and healthy! Look to the future now, the worst is over! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 186 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,650 Amount Saved: $1,962.30 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 17 Mins: 39 Seconds: 52

I can understand why you bought the pack of cigarettes and why you felt you wanted to smoke one but glad that you gave up on it and threw the lot away. What other people say is true: Smoking won't help. It's easy to persuade yourself it will though. I'm very sorry for you and your wife at such a sad loss. She will need such care and you will have to be strong for her. What better way to prove your strength than to stay smoke free. With best wishes Gen My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 163 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,608 Amount Saved: 815.00 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 14 Mins: 34 Seconds: 14

Keith, life is so precious & does change in the blink of any eye. Keith, i've been through some extremely, intense sad & tragic moments over the past 2 years also. I had a bit of a job holding it together, but we do... that is the nature of the human spirit. You've beaten the odds.. the addiction which in itself is no small feat. This alone shows how much strength you can muster... you have the strength & you will get through this. My blessing goes out to you, best wishes fellow kiwi My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 979 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 34,265 Amount Saved: $6,363.50 Life Gained: Days: 139 Hrs: 21 Mins: 20 Seconds: 6
