I'm not alone!!!!!!

Hello all, I was on Paxil 20mg for the longest time and then I had a setback last summer and it was raised to 30mg...now, on my third setback I just started taking 40mg of Paxil because I am dealing with both depression and anxiety. I know it takes awhile for the medicine to work through your body. I occasionally take Clorazapan to calm myself when needed as well. It is nice to know that we are not alone. Cheers, Gloria

Hi, It must have been something about fourth of july weekend, that night I had one of my worst attacks of my life. Every since that attack, I developed intrusive thoughts that also lead to my attacks. I was pretty bad with anxiety for a couple of weeks. My doc put me on 50mg Zoloft and xanax as needed, which i decided to take on a regular basis .25mg. I have only been on Zoloft 4 wks, as far as the physical symtoms (racing heartbeat, pressure in chest, etc.) thats pretty much gone, but I can't seem to get rid of those thoughts. The worst part is when I notice that I'm not thinking about those thoughts, I than trigger it and has those thoughts start back up again. Does that make sense? Hope this helps. Is there anybody out there whose thoughts finally went away? I tend to have the same obessive thought over and over again and it drives me crazy. If i didnt have that, than I wouldn't think i'm so crazy. Does anybody know the best med especially for OCD? I'm still all new to this, but thanks to everybody here, I'm learning a lot. Sorry for writing such a long response.

Hi guys, I haven't been around for a couple of months but I have had two BAD set backs. ONe fourth of July weekend and then one this week. It is sooo discouraging when you think you are FINALLY getting better. Also, my doc has raised my paxil to 50mg mainly because of my ocd and intrusive thoughts that lead to anxiety. I was just wondering what dosages of meds others take. Thanks
