My name is Jay and I have been dealing with this panic for the last couple years. I also have depression. I don't usually wake up feeling that way, but sometimes during the end of my day I get those feelings. I recently upped my meds and that has helped.
One of my coping mechanisms is to remember the success I have had in the past even though recently I have had some big setbacks.
Has your therapist led your through imigary? That has help me a lot to. Pretty much, its going to a happy place where you felt safe and at peace. You bring it to life by remembering the colors, smells, sensations and sights on that place. Its a way to distract yoyr mind from the panic.
