Good for you, you are taking the long view on this...That is the way to move forward...It really is one day at a time, but in the back of the mind, we must never forget that we are creating better futures four ourselsves...There is no upside to smoking...There is only a momnetary satisfaction followed by a slow decent back to our former dependent selves.
I don't ever want to be a victim, and really I am not a victim to cigarettes. I chose to smoke and now I must do what is necessary to change that decision. I promise you this, as you go further down the line, smoking will become a real choice. In the early days of my quit, it haunted me like an old memory that just would not go to land of the forgotten. But slowly, as I taught myself to choose day by day that memory lost its power and I gained new powers to leave by past way of being in the past...
