Bear, i'm not surprised at all, you are doing your bit by stopping smoking & supporting youfellow quitees. How about this then..... Cigarettes these days pack more punch ! Read on if you dare ..... Tobacco companies have been increasing the nicotine levels in cigarettes with Brands most popular with young people and minorities registering the biggest increases and highest nicotine content. One particular tobacco giant also acknowledged it used ammonia as one of the many methods to boost the absorption of nicotine, it's all designed to get the drug to the brain that much faster, which makes it more addictive. Tobacco giants play hardball ! retaliation to anti-smoking legislation but the funny thing is - Governments need the trillions of $$ from tobacco sales, i would say it's a political interest to keep tobacco sales up. All i can say is stop smoking while you still can Don't get me started on the pharmaceutical companies. Bear, Indeed a cruel punishment for those children. Perhaps contacting the UN or other humanitarian organization? Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Hi Bear, I can tell you feel strongly about this issue! I think there are all kinds of ways to show support: congratulating our fellow quitters for their accomplishments, responding to cries for help, welcoming new quitters, and...taking on actions against smoking, cigarette companies, etc. We each pick what we're best at and what we feel most comfortable with. Do you have some ideas on what to do about this issue? Mister Ed has just posted about a company in Africa that allows there employees to give away cigarettes to children and your running around patting one another on the back about your great accomplishments .Shame on You.I would think that your time could be better spent finding out what you can do about this ???
