Grandma! What a night for you and your poodle! (my mom has a toy poodle named Louie, who I can picture snuggling with you tonight:) And damn it. My name is Annie, so I have to reply:) I am proud of you for not smoking through all of this excitement and the emergency... and I'll toast you with my glass of wine... To tomorrow, and all our smoke free tomorrows... How easy would it have been to bum one? And then your junkie could always convince you that you were so traumatized you didn't even know whay you were doing. But noooooo, you saw that coming & kicked that junkie's ash right back to junkie hell. WTG, grandma, you freakin' gorgeous quitter, you!!! I was brushing my dog waiting for the 5p.m new when I heard the screeching brakes and then the enormous boom. Carried Annie out front cars were stopping people running. A car was wrapped around an oak tree in the center section of the street. A guy who was behind car ran to the firehouse on the corner as all calls to 911 were busy. The driver was breathing and he cut his seat belt but couldn't get him out. I saw a lot of people lighting up just as I would have done in the past. I just ignored it. Fire dept. got the guy out and ambulance took him away. Maybe that means I'm a non smoker. Still shakey from it though. Maybe a glass of wine and cheese and crackers will help.
