Soon the fact that you don't smoke will make trips and everything else so much easier. Fewer things to factor in. Well done. Hey Traci, wasn't me chewing on the straw. I'm past having to have something in my mouth. I do know what you mean about the smoke filled cars. I don't know what part of Oklahoma you were in but I'm in the south east corner and I think more people smoke here than anywhere else I go. Funny how I didn't notice before. I can't go anywhere without seeing someone standing outside in the 100 + temp puffing away. I rarely see anyone smoke the week I am in Dallas. I think it is the difference in income. Seems those who can aford it don't and those who can't do.Glad you made you trip without smoking. Next time will be easier.BLUE CLOUD My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 57 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,140 Amount Saved: $228.00 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 15 Mins: 6 Seconds: 1

Ima Great job done... Moments come and moments go, difficulties arise and hard times subside, but through each negative moment runs one simple truth and that is that smoking is never the answer...It only creates more hard questions, and to some of those questions there are no answers. You are doing a wonderful thing for yourself, don't stop now and remember to congratulate yourself for every victory, they are hard fought and well earned... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 247 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,410 Amount Saved: $1,729.00 Life Gained: Days: 45 Hrs: 1 Mins: 18 Seconds: 20

WOOHOO!! I never had a single doubt, Traci. I knew you could get through that a quitter. I knew you would resist the junkie thoughts. I did not know for sure that you would resist those bash your husband with a skillet thoughts, but you did that too!!! We're proud of you!! You showed true quitter character, Ima! And, think, you still had a great time on your trip. We do not have to smoke and poison ourselves to enjoy life..the addiction just makes it seem that way at times. We brainwashed ourselves with cigarettes; well, no more of that. You have a great quit going..keep on going strong. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 94 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,256 Amount Saved: $470.00 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 0 Mins: 8 Seconds: 29

Congratulations, Traci. That is awesome and I bet you're proud as a peacock. ;) Your stopping to walk Priss and the resulting crave that diminished with each experience is an excellent example of the memory-triggered crave and the retraining of the mind to break those associations. I know what you mean about the pipe, too. I've seen used cars that cost more than my first home. :gasp: ElderOne My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 827 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 16,540 Amount Saved: $3,919.98 Life Gained: Days: 150 Hrs: 20 Mins: 29 Seconds: 29

Great job! I am originally from out west, I am jealous that you made that road trip. Should have swung up north and picked me up!
