I was the one most affected by the quit in a good and positive way. I am learning to see me without looking through a cloud of smoke. As for those who got in my way in the beginning I think they are still looking for them :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 159 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,180 Amount Saved: $1,033.50 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 12 Mins: 42 Seconds: 55

Me, of course. Hubby quit 32 years ago, and the kids aren't at home anymore, so it doesn't really affect them. My friends don't really give a sh-t...LOL. I do have to laugh here because when I smoked they were always asking if I quit. Now that I have quit, not one of them has asked about it, not one....I guess they didn't expect me to do it, oh well I guess I get the last laugh there! But it did affect me, and in a BIG wonderful way...I have a whole new life ahead of me! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 175 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,375 Amount Saved: $1,846.25 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 10 Mins: 31 Seconds: 15

Excellent way to validate your quit and know that this addiction is harmful to all! Josie, Support Specialist

Mercy,Mercy ,You do get me to thinking. Like Sparky I too am the most affected by this quit. The last failed attempt left me feeling weak and defeated. I tried to sluff it off and continue as before but I was ashamed. I would sneak around. Did not want my grand kids to know i was still smoking (like you can hide it) so I would stay away from them. I was on the back porch smoking when my 11 year old grandson just appeared. I was caught, he said" Well it's your decission,I'm dissapointed because I want you to live but you can do what ever you want and I will still love you" and he walked away. I continued to smoke for about 2 months after that. I almost smoked solid. I guess I was trying to make myself sick and I did. I thought I needed to be punished. With help from my daughter I begin to see smoking as an addiction. She lead me to this site and I have been on a roll. I feel good knowing I don't stink. I finally got the smell out of my house and every one knows I don't smoke. I am winning, there fore I am affected the most. Every one likes a winner. Even ME. Well I would say I was most effected -good- because of the benefits I get from not smoking. The other that was effected was my husband. He supported me though all of my attempts. Because he did not judge me and only supported me I have come this far. He has benefited because he quit when I first started trying. Of course he was one of "those" that put them down and never looked back. So he have been quit for 4 1/2 years.
