Hey all! Sorry - I missed this and started a new thread saying I MADE IT! Yep - Aloha I did pull out those tips. They really do help - even when your mind is telling you otherwise! Sue - I think sour is my key right now (along with suckers of course). It really does help! Unhooked - it was a piece of cake...and BBQ... and a burger - geez, the trip was a feeding frenzy. I HAVE to hit the gym before the trip. Sparky - I love the kitty and LOVE that you have the suckers on your desktop! No joke, I am living on SF suckers now and that picture was PERFECT for me...says all there is to say! Thanks all! blue cloud - hope your trip was filled with good music and less stress! hmmm...i'm wondering if Ima and Blue Cloud are gonna pass each other on the way. It would be kinda fun if you two could have a little sign to recognize each other. :p Ima Printing out some tips and reading them when you have a strong smoking thought has proven helpful to some of us when we've been on the road. Have safe and enjoyable trips, Ima and Blue Cloud -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 158 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,320 Amount Saved: $1,074.40 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 1 Mins: 42 Seconds: 16

Imaquitter, First of all, have a good time! Second of all, you know this may be a trigger for you so be prepared! Gum, candy, chew stick, stress ball, water ball. All this and more can help you push that stress away and continue on with your 8 fantastic days! You can do this, be ready and be proud! Josie, Support Specialist

Traci, don't forget to pack your coping skills, your weapons. John and I were driving also when we quit, so we were trapped in a car together with my Mum also, it was a barrel of fun ;) Anyway, those literine mints, sour jelly bellies, water water water, books to read, and sleep - all these things helped me. None of us packed our patience so that was a challenge - but me and John both packed our resolve to keep this quit and that is what got us through it. Stay strong Traci, I know you will be fine. You can SO do this, Ima. You've done way harder things, you know that's true. Have your coping strategies handy, go back to day one if you have to, come here, read & post & stay as strong as you are. Piece of cake! Traci, You can stay strong and not smoke. Ok is my home state. I find it stressful sometimes to. I'm also going there tomorrow and the drive I make each week is a big trigger. It is getting better. Wine sounds good. Better take cold water too. remember...N.O.P.E. Just remember you are a quitter :eg: I thought I would let you know I copied you picture of the suckers and it is on my desktop. I love it. So that is what I see the first thing in the morning when I turn my computer on and the last thing I see at night when I shut it off. Now remeber you have a whole group of people wishing you nothing but the best.
