Blue Cloud Its going to be alright you know, you will learn more about yourself than you ever thought. I did not realize this fact when I started my quit, but the knowledge comes as a result of weaning ourselves from the substance that has stood between us and us (if you know what I mean)...There arises a certain pride in us as we begin to understand that we can handle the highs and lows of living sans cigarettes. That pride gives birth to a new confidence and that confidence allows us to act and react to the world in a new and wonderful manner. Take your time, ponder and be mindful of all the changes. Some will be uncomfortable, but your new strength will grant you the power of acceptance and that, in my mind, is the key to living. Don't be afraid of doing this wonderful thing for yourself...You deserve it... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 245 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,350 Amount Saved: $1,715.00 Life Gained: Days: 44 Hrs: 19 Mins: 43 Seconds: 22

Blue Cloud, I was out of town with someone very special. As soon as I got back, I came here to check on you. I'm glad you are doing well. In so many ways my new life is so awesome but there is the down side for the time being. Hopefully, this is a temporary issue and more change is on the horizon. I wouldn't be where I am now and living the life I am had it not been for the soul searching of my quit. Enjoy your new life. Lady. Oh, Blue Cloud you are such a sweet person. You say you want to find yourself. Go look in the mirror and see that wonderful person looking back at you. Say good morning to her and tell her that she is special, she will like that. Tell her that every morning and soon you will know that you found yourself. You hang in there you are doing great. Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 118 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,180 Amount Saved: $354.00 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 23 Mins: 37 Seconds: 24

Hi Blue Cloud. You are on a journey of self discovery! You are doing just awesome. It's a soul searching journey. I know because I've spent many days where you are now. I want you to know that what you are going to find is so amazing. Keep searching. The person that emerges from the ashes is wonderful, honest, caring, and much stronger after the quit. The self confidence that comes with the quit will encourage you to move forward. The emotions are all part of it for those of us that wear our emotions on our sleeves. I often wish I didn't and that I was better able to hide my feelings. Recently, someone told me that being that way is just me being me and there isn't anything wrong with that. Keep walking along the road less traveled. I think you will like the destination. Blue Cloud - you are truly such an amazing person. You are gaining so much insight right now and that is the best gift you can give to yourself. I feel as though quitting was like my divorce. There is no love in me for my ex. I have forgiven but will never ever forget, I have bettered myself and gained a sense of self-esteem I never thought I would have. There were days I didn't think I would make it and now there are days I can't believe I wasted all those years. The best part - I rarely think of my ex at all and never fondly. That's my analogy! You are doing so great and once you get past the down Sundays you will soar into that beautiful cloud! Keep going - we all care and are here for you as you have been for us. Nonic - how eloquent and how true. Thank you for sharing your personal journey!
