quig and valic Hang in there guys, you are going through detox. Hope you wrote down your quit reasons because at this point they might start getting vague. I am not allowed to post links but if you search videos with your favorite search engine with the subject Quit Smoking, I think you will find some things that will shock you back into reality. It is so sad to see the eyes of those hooked on nicotine glaze over when they hear the ramifications of smoking. After three days your eyes are open. Take a GOOD LOOK around and see what Smoking does to you! You still new and in the begining of the quit. Day by day it gets easier. You don't have to give up anything at all....except....smoke. That is the only thing you are quiting. Nothing else. As time gets on your side it will get easier. Craves become more like thoughts. Take it slow. It is all part of the process. What do they say?????? "Rome wasn't built in a day" (and neither was your smoking habit) :) Your doing great and are more than half over "hell week" Mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 214 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,280 Amount Saved: $956.58 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 3 Mins: 52 Seconds: 51

quignov, I am having a tough day 4 as well. But I have been pushing through! I just take it an hr at a time, even 5 min. at a time if I have to. Deep breathing and lots of COLD water. We can do this, we ARE doing this. Hang tough! ~Valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/19/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20 Amount Saved: $21.20 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 38 Seconds: 23

The morning of day 4 arrives. I long for my morning cigarette. Feelings of loss, unaware of reality, crazy ups where I feel on top of the earth followed by downs where the only reprieve from life would be to smoke a cigarette. Yet I don't smoke. Somehow, through all the intense emotions, irritability that I put my girlfriend through, the constant inability to actually DO work while I'm at work, I somehow, magically, am able to resist smoking. probably because I **+$*$ ing hate them? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 42 Amount Saved: $9.45 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 9 Seconds: 18
