Hey, valic. Hang in, this is the hardest paryt& you're almost through it! I drank gallons of water, till I sloshed! People look at you funny but whatever. I chewed lots of coffee straws, too. You do whatever works for you, but try shouting WOOHOO!! You can't feel bad when you're shouting WOOHOO!!! Thanks everyone for the responses! It is good to know that I am not alone! I like the water and deep breathing techniques they really work for me. Craving still here but not as loud lol. I can do this, I am doing this! For the first couple of weeks I want to stay inside all the smokers are outside. But I also brought a word search book to do on my breaks, as well as reading on this site. Thanks everyone have a great day! ~Valic

Well you understand where one will take you. Now think about where not smoking one will take you. Make a list of what not smoking that one will do. Like I will make another day. I am in control and not that nasty ugly icky cig :eg: I will drink some water. I will post. I can pray. I can scream. so on and on. You know the routine. You can (we) do this. Believe in yourself. You're doing great Valic. You posted!:) Any chance you can get out the door for a small walk to just enjoy breathing? It will pass. Maybe try to visualize that thought as just one ball, so that next time you see it you can kick it:) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 120 Amount Saved: $30.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 20 Mins: 36 Seconds: 51

I just checked on my diary. Yes, it was hard on day 3. But after that, its getting easy..... What I did is, have a cup of hot jasmine tea, and take a deep breath, feel the aroma of jasmine tea, and it makes me realize that Nicotine was stink....... If you could make it until day 3, then, with less effort, you could have day 4, 5, .... smoking free days. Keep smoking free, valic My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/8/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 448 Amount Saved: $29.84 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 16 Mins: 23 Seconds: 10
