Welcome Yorkie! I am also on the Chantix. Everyone has covered the side effects that I have had. Main one is to drink the 8 oz of water and eat with food. I still had 4 days that I had an upset stomach, but it has been much better this week. Hello Yorkie Mom, Congratulations on making your September quit date! That's a huge step. I use Chantix too, and agree that it helps me a lot. Especially through the early stages of the quit and withdrawal symptoms. They may be there but more faint, and if you're like me on it, you won't care. Kathleen is right about the nausea and vivid dreams, and other great advice. It seems adjustable if you listen to your body. I needed to lower my dose eventually because I was super sensitive. Just keep your doctor informed on how you're doing. Also, when you get your prescription you can sign up for their free site service too. It helps answer questions about their product and has helpful tips. I needed real people to type to eventually though... So I'm mostly here:) Best wishes to you on your quit! We're on your side all the way... mamakitty My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 6 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 90 Amount Saved: $22.50 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 16 Mins: 15 Seconds: 45

Welcome to SSC Yorkie Mom! I have quit using the Chantix. You are really gonna love it! It really does take the edge off the withdrawl symptoms. Make sure you drink plenty of water with it. You will have very vivid dreams also in the beginning. Which I thought was kinda cool. Try and take it with some food in your stomach though, cause it can make you quite nauseas. Other that that, that's really all I experienced on it. It really is a life saver. You still have to really want to quit though. It doesn't do all the work for you! Good luck with your quit! We are all here to listen and support you:) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 100 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,000 Amount Saved: $400.00 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 16 Mins: 12 Seconds: 20
