Danielle, That is an amazing statistic compared to the normal success rate. Bear, It's hard to say as the end results are hard to track. I can tell you that 60-70% on average of respondents who complete our follow-up surveys are still smoke free. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Bear, Don't forget Mr Penitent as well! Lady, I know that people have good reasons to 'move on' from the SSC when they have been quit for a while, but it's important for the new ones that Heavy Hitters such as youself still come here to share their experiences. I for one feel rather indebted to this site - I don't think my quit would have been successful without it! All the best :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 549 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 16,470 Amount Saved: 4,117.50 Life Gained: Days: 88 Hrs: 5 Mins: 11 Seconds: 48

Bear there are alot of fine quitters on this site that have been around for a long time. There are also a lot of quitters that have moved on. Just a few that I keep in touch with are listed below so you can add them to your list because they are still smoke free... I'll include their approximate quit date too.... Smogsliften... 6/05 Shevie... 5/05 Hummingbird... 5/05 Golferman..... 5/05 N2K... Fall 05 Cheryl... 7/05 Ken.... 7/05 Greysmom... 7/05 SweetPea... 8/05 Luna.... Mid yr/05 AND ME!!! 7/05 There is a whole slew of people call the Unsmokeables. They quit about 6 months before I did. There are tons of them. The ones I remember are UFO, Missyfit, Georgie, Major Dude, Lolly, Duffis.. I can't even remember the others but they were all guiding lights to my group of quitters. So there are 16 successfull quitters in a span of less than a year. I didn't include the ones that still post from time to time. It's nice to have you among the successes on this site! It's so awesome to be smoke free :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 776 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 15,520 Amount Saved: $2,716.00 Life Gained: Days: 70 Hrs: 2 Mins: 4 Seconds: 14
