Hi Cal
I'm on Chantix too, and my husband starts soon. Its been the easiest for me. the patch burned my skin and gave me nightmares, the inhaler made me dizzy and the gum made me nauseous, I was ready to go cold turkey and knew what would happen, I go right back to smoking.
Chantix has been a blessing.
Hang in, it gets easier.

Cal,
Hubby and I are using Chantix also. We have cut down to one per day recently. Hubby's doctor participated in one of the studies and he recommended taking the drug for the full six months. The doctor said that the results of the studies showed a very significant increase in success when the users continued taking the drug for the full six months.
We're so happy that you've joined us. You are gonna look great and feel even better as the days go by :) I know your mom is very proud!

Boxerfan,Lamplighter,and NewMe,
Thank you so much for your support!!! I will start posting more to discussions. I was telling my mother, Mercy(notice I am the little goat to her mama goat), that I needed time to not focus on quitting until I felt strong enough. Does that make sense?? I was trying to not have it in the forefront of my mind. I have to say again that this Chantix is a MIRACLE!!!! I think I am going to stay on the Chantix for a total of 6 months and during the end, and wean off and go free for the remainder.
Everyone have a wonderful smokefree evening!!!
Welcome Cal! Congratulations on two weeks smoke free :) You have made it through the most difficult part and you are on your way to freedom!
