The situation appears that after giving up a nasty habit / addiction (call it what you will), research & findings unearth even worse toxicity in the environment that we live. makes smoking seem so trivial. One recent example, i've recently found out that the photocopier in my office for the past 12 months has generated more toxins & pollution into the air that my collegues & i have been breathing than a cigarette smoker ! needless to stay i don't need to pass on what my smoking friends have said about this, but it doesn't seem to really bother them at all. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Well, when I smoked my mantra was "we all have to die from something". And that may still be true. Apparently smoking masked several health problems for me, and lately I have often thought of having 'just one' or 'why did I bother to quit'. As for the psychological aspect of quitting, I deal with my problems the same way whether or not I smoke. Although Sweetheart does say that I am much more 'edgy' and that I yell a little more (and a little louder)since I quit. I say "DEAL with it". I have come too far to start smoking again. N.O.P.E. In the long run it will be better! Nope & NOPE. I am happy & excited to finally be learning how to live like a grown up. I'm amazed & proud every time I feel an appropriate emotion & am not afraid of it. Everything was not allright when I smoked & everything is not allright now but at least the steps I take now go in the direction of allright. I still visit there on occasion. Just passing through of course. I don't plan on giving up my quit for anything but I do visit the junkie thinking from time to time. It's ok to "think" but we are not allowed to act on those thoughts. Being smoke free is one of the smartest things we have ever done. You can smell it.It has an rancid ugly smell to it.It's the point were people become unsure. Were they say " why did I quit ".Everything was alright , sure I smoked , so what.I did'nt have to deal with lifes little problems I did'nt have to grow up .Anybody going there :quest: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 135 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,430 Amount Saved: $1,350.00 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 21 Mins: 46 Seconds: 4
