I said right at the beginning that my six months reward would be to take my mother on holiday so, in Ocotber, we are going to Spain for a week.
It's not so much about the money but just that she has wanted to have a holiday with me for so long and now I can do it without worrying about me finding ways and places to smoke while with her 24/7.
She is really anti-smoking - never touched one but never gave me a hard time about it or not as much of a hard time as I used to give myself.
So it's a reward for both of us really.
But I'm paying!

mercy, thanks for reminding us that rewards don't have to be fancy or extravagant. It's important to reward ourselves in little ways, too. But if you're going fancy & extravagant, how about that John? Is that a sweet, romantic husband or what? You guys have a fabulous time!!
My favourite reward is going out to lunch twice a month with some girls I used to work with. We go to a nice restaurant & I couldn't aways afford to go before. Also, I can enjoy the whole time with them & don't have to go out to smoke.

I am taking Sue to the beach this weekend to celebrate her birthday and our 100 day quit, (and to break her crankiness) I have reserved a condo that is right on the beach where they will be having some surfing competitions running. Next door is an award winning restaurant. The restaurant has a pier, which allows you to sit and enjoy the breeze while a band plays right there in the sunset.
After dinner and a few drinks we can then stumble the beach back to the condo!
This beats emptying ashtrays any day!
