Where did you find pictures of lungs as they were healing? I'd love to see that. My favorite reward has been totally free. I like to research the effects of smoking. Seeing lungs that are 6 months into a quit compared to a smokers lungs gives me the gas to continue! Our bodies do heal and that is the best reward that I can give myself! So far the best reward has been when my daughter and fam. came home from WA state I bought the double screen DVD player for the car for my grandchildren age 7 & 5, just hearing how excited before they came home and seeing how excited while they were here oh wow, used some of my cig money, couldn't have done that before, when I smoked. cost tooooooo much just to smoke. my brain had a bigger rush by that then cigs. have ever given me! hugs and prayers, Bobbi My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/27/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 127 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,810 Amount Saved: $317.50 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 14 Mins: 6 Seconds: 53

AS I look back over my quit I was thinking about my little rewards. My girlfriend in Florida is really getting serious about quiting and I was telling her the importance of rewards. You know..... my favorite was not my most expensive. I was having a good quit day...and actually thought I deserved a reward for a good day instead of a reward after "suffering" LOL I bought and iced carmel latte (yes...with whipped cream) and drove to the lake and enjoyed it with my little dog. I wouldn't have even taken the time to have done that when I was smoking. I was always too rushed...and I felt so quilty about spending money on cigarettes that I would refrain from spending over 3 bucks on a coffee drink. After all.... that three bucks could be put toward a pack of cigarettes. Anyway... that latte at the lake wasn't just about the latte treat. It had more meaning than that. It may have been my first taste of freedom. Having a good quit day....feeling calm and good about myself enough to say....."You deserve a relaxing treat".... AND THEN.........ACTUALLY DOING IT!!! Have you had a favorite treat so far?
