That's a lot of money that could be spent elsewhere! The Ontario provincial government did announce they would be removing the PST from NRT's. Hopefully, the government will follow suit, drop the GST and Bear's stats will also decline! Thanks for sharing! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

If those numbers are correct Bear, that means that approximately 16.5% of the population in Canada still smokes. That surprises me. I would have expected that to be lower, seeing that the only place left that you can smoke is outdoors (some places) and on your own property (for the time being)! Not to mention the squillions of dollars being spent on NRT ! either way the Governements around the world are doing pretty well out of us. From the amount of revenue that smoking generates i can only imagine what this world would be like without it !
