Hi Guys, well best laid plan hey! At the last minute I have been requested to work the weekend too, so here I am. I'm sure I will get around to getting those tunes at some point. It just means that I will look forward to next weekend more (a positive spin on it). Anyway, I have fought through last nights and this mornings craves and I am here happily typing away again. Extra important I make my daily pledge this weekend. I promise to my fun lovin' SSC friends and to my quit buddy that I WILL NOT SMOKE TODAY. Theres some smileys for all you lovely peeps :) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 400 Amount Saved: 67.20 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 0 Mins: 35 Seconds: 32

Kev Every day you don't smoke brightens my day too :) It is so refreshing to see you aware of what is going on and feeling in control of changing negative thoughts into positive ones. That WILL make the difference in you keeping this quit going. If you don't have a real urge to go to the pub, maybe you should plan some other kind of social activity? or take someone with you again? Alcohol really does lower one's resistance. Those are the only times when I have been really close to caving. I was lucky each time I had someone there who refused to give me a puff, no matter what. Yep, the waves have been very Goldilocks lately, so I am heading out there again today. Hopefully enough bodyboaring will start making a dent in my weight. If not, at least I'm fat and happy Will check you throughout the weekend -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 127 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,080 Amount Saved: $863.60 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 19 Mins: 6 Seconds: 36

Hi Sam, Wow, my posts do that? Great! We can start a happiness wave. You leave your house smiling and someone else close by will smile too! :) The Butterfly Effect I think they call it. Smiling can kick any crave. Nance, still not sure about the pub yet. If I do, I'll do the handover all coins to barstaff trick. :) I imagine your house is so tidy anyway so you won't need me. Today I am wearing a shirt than even Aloha would need shades for :). Its brightened up the office no end. Fridays are a great day to cheer people up, it can change their entire weekend! (I did say I found that positive vibe right? :) ) p.s YOU'RE ALL AWESOME!! Hey Kevin, FANTASTIC! QBA is great! I love it! And YAY days, too. Amazing how much good thinking we can do in the bath; it's so relaxing, so warm (or cool), so soothing, so good for the soul, kind of like Mom's chicken soup when you're feeling ill. Keep the thought of that bath in your mind today, to help you relax if you need it. Hope your weekend goes well. No pub visits on the schedule, or do you think you'll fit in a short one at some point? You learned how to cope when you're there, so brush off those skills before you get there. And, if need be, when you run out of things to do, you can come to my house and do some tidying. I can always use a hand. From your house, turn right when you reach NJ. Thanks for the daily promise! You are AWESOME! xoxoxoxo Nance My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 163 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,890 Amount Saved: $790.55 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 17 Mins: 49 Seconds: 9

Hi Aloha, we have a channel (one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world) but it is bit cold. I wouldn't be in there long enough to see my fingertips prune up :) For the weekend, I am plan to go clothes shopping, get some more music, do some tidying. I am on pager at the moment so can't really do anything too interesting (gotta be near a broadband connection). The reality is I will probably be sat here reading posts and thinking about replies. How about you? The waves call. The BIG ONE is coming right? Saw a picture on the news, it looks huge. The weekends are more dangerous than the weeks for me so will be keeping my guard up.
