The ideal survival package would contain: Apples Carrots many Sugar Lumps and some nice dry hay :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 527 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 15,810 Amount Saved: 3,952.50 Life Gained: Days: 84 Hrs: 17 Mins: 30 Seconds: 6

Good way to keep the mind off of smoking! It can be second nature sometime and people do not even realize they are doing it! Continue on this path and list some more ways to keep occupied :) Josie, Support Specialist

Excellent ideas, Kev, very thoughtful. I would also send some coffee straws, books, movies, a lot of WOOHOO!! and Sven & Jorge. In the parcel, I would send : Chocolate (gotta keep your sugar levels normal) Pairs of socks (to let the other ones dry out) A picture of Miami (it never seems to rain there - good luck charm) Bottled Water (ok Gen you know why if you've been watching the news) A bumper crossword (take your mind off smoking, you have a long wait until it dries up) The entire threads of the SSC (reading is good) Cheese (everyone loves cheese right? - plus it keeps your fat levels up) I would not pack 200 marley lights for obvious reasons, but I suspect in 1947 that would have been in the pack. Did I do ok? There was a thread yesterday concerning the flooding we are experiencing here at the moment but I can't seem to find it. I just wanted to mention that, in today's paper, there is an article about similar flooding here in 1947 during which the good people of Canada sent us food parcels and the mayor of Ontario offered to come and help distribute them. What would you put in a parcel for those affected now? - Bearing in mind we are concentrating on things to take the mind off smoking through the crisis. Gen :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 119 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,904 Amount Saved: 595.00 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 19 Mins: 12 Seconds: 54
