I let you all down

Carlos, You know what you need to do - and there should not be any major beating up since we have all been there and are still trying to get it done... That being said, just keep on plugging, and do not stop. You know what you need to do to stay quit - so I hope to see you soon!!! Keep trying! :) :) Try and do things differently. I used to always smoke in my conservatory. So this last time I quit instead of emptying the ash trays etc, I left them there. I didn't go into the conservatory very often but knew when I saw the ash trays and lighters that that was what I was fighting. It just seemed different that time than the other times. This time I was the victor and no cigarette was going to get the better of me!! Kind of thing. Where as before I would feel so bereft.. the loss seemed to hit me harder because I had prepared. I think we are all different and need to find our own way, but sometimes it helps to make a change in the way we do it. :) Good luck! xx My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/7/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 254 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,350 Amount Saved: 1,397.00 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 6 Mins: 34 Seconds: 40

Carlos, it happens, just don't give up quitting okay? So you probably need a new coping mechanism for the next time you are in the situation where you smoked right? Be ready next time. Look forward, not back and remember we are all here with you okay? ;) Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 77 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 770 Amount Saved: $134.75 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 8 Mins: 54 Seconds: 32

Carlos, you didn't let me down. I'm glad to see you get right back on. You slipped, it happens to a of us. The important thing, as others have said, is that you make it mean something by learning from it & carrying on. You can do it, Carlos. Carlos, you haven't let me down. I know how tough this is, and I've been in your shoes before. And because I have been, I know that you can turn this around now... and take back your quit, and your life. You've been making an outstanding effort, Carlos... and then you made a mistake. So, learn from the mistake... and get back at it!! You're still in control of this puppy! What's your next step? Carlos Alberto, We are not here to judge! What matters is that you are right back to your quit. We encourage you to learn from this slip. What contributed to it? How will you avoid this trigger next time?

Im there with you. Im new to the program. What did that 1 cigarette do for you? Didnt you feel like a skitso (why am I smoking? but continuing to smoke)? The cigarette just reawakened the nicotine monster. Dont feed him nothing else. One cigarette leads to 2, and so on. Im not bashing you, but this is what I wish someone would tell me. I can help you quit, if you help me.
