Hey Mercy, You got that right, ''YOU REALLY CAN LIVE WITHOUT SMOKING,'' I'm living proof, 4 years, 4 months without a cigerette touching my lips, I belive my point of No Return came between my 4th month, and 6th month, that is when I knew that I had that Tiger by the Tail, Or, the Eye of the Tiger, which ever You prefer, I know it's fairly rough starting out in Your Quit, and I wish that possibly I could walk that journey with All You Beginners, But Everyone has to sooner or later, paddle Your own boat, You know what really kept my head above water in my early quit, It was the People on this website, from at least 5 or 6 different Countries, saying to me!! 'Come on John, You can do it, We will travel this journey together, And I said to myself!!! Why? would they care about my health, They don't even know me, and at that point, Never looked back, What Friends I've made on this website, and We still comunicate today, even had a Reunion last year, like 12 of Us came together in Nashville, Tennessee, for like a 3 day stay, It was Beautiful, to say the least, Hope You to someday can have a reunion, with Your Smoke Free Buddies, Just keep listening to the People Who have been there, ''IT'S GRRREAT,''' AS TONY THE TIGER SAYS,''' Smokless In Oklahoma :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/10/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1595 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 47,850 Amount Saved: $6,826.60 Life Gained: Days: 373 Hrs: 2 Mins: 0 Seconds: 58

I think that I just reached that point this weekend. :) Thanks for the reminder. It is important to remember - It won't last forever! But, feel free to use us as shoulders when you need it. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 370 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 27,750 Amount Saved: $6,937.50 Life Gained: Days: 32 Hrs: 7 Mins: 12 Seconds: 12

Gr8 analogy Mercy...like having a baby lol. I've never had a baby but I'll take your word for it! "Who cares..... It's the goal that counts.... right?" We all post so much about what we go through at different times in our quits. I went through most of that the last time I quit. This time is so much easier & I'm not complaining, lol. They say it takes a few practice trials before most of us are able to stay quit. I guess this has been true for me. I hope this is the final quit and not another practice trial. My desire to be smoke-free is true to my heart & that's what matters :) Like Mercy said...it's the goal that counts. It's not about how many time we attempt to quit or how long it takes to achieve the goal. But then also, the journey to get to the goal is important too b/c that's called living in the moment & even though some moment's are extremely tough, it only makes the wonderful moments more wonderful :) But I do remember what it feels like to finally reach the goal & not be craving or even thinking about those stupid things and it really is an awesome feeling! CONGRATS ON YOUR 6 MONTHS!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! WTG!!!!!!! Just Breathe....... Mercy, Are you sure no one has died from NOT smoking? I am kidding but it does seem unbearable at times. This morning was definantly one of those times. I thought for sure I would give up. Not really because of a trigger, or stress or anything, just simply because at times the fight seems exhausting! Your post came at a great time for me. I had a nice afternoon with some friends, came home and read your post and it seems a little more managable now. Thank you. Hi, I'm posting this to some of you newer ones. The ones at two weeks struggling..... the ones at three months that feel worn and even those that are much longer into the quit that see no hope. It's HAPPENING.....IT'S TRUE. IT'S JUST LIKE THEY SAID!! I'm getting NORMAL AGAIN. I'm becoming a better me!!! Their not fabricating a story...or settling for a second rate life. By Golly...it's the truth. There is a real normal and a together feeling you reach. I know the hopeless feeling some have. Gosh.. I been there a few times. Even deeper into my quit. I also realize that not every quitter feels depressed...irratiable and lost when they quit. ....but.... some do. So this post is for you. For those that feel life is spiraling outta control...please listen. I don't know how long it will take. I'm posting this at 180 days. This very Sunday will be 6 months. It really started happening for me this week!! It took that amount of time to see a new life. Maybe I took longer than most.....maybe not. Who cares..... It's the goal that counts.... right? It may seem like along time for you.....but..... like having a baby...you forget pretty fast when it's all over bacause of the JOY. Some of you might feel this turnaround at 3 weeks or three months. Some may take longer than me. I don't know your timetable....but if you haven't reached it....hang in there. Don't waste how far you've come to have to do it all over again. Not when you are closer than ever before. You might give in and it would have turned around for you in another couple of days..or weeks. The point I'm making is this: IT HAPPENS....AND you owe it to yourself and what you've gone through to see what it's all about. I feel better.....have self repsect....feel in control, not only of this addiction...but of my life in general. ....Lets not mention I'm getting close to being $1,000.00 richer!!! Please read this and find comfort. If you want a "real life", it's in your reach. I'm sure I may get socked by a cravaing here and there again. But..what I wanted to share is my excitement that feeling good is real. I wanted you to know that YOU CAN REALLY LIVE WITHOUT SMOKING. Love to all, mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 180 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,600 Amount Saved: $804.60 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 17 Mins: 0 Seconds: 12
