What a great post. Thanks for the encouraging words. Being agoraphobic it will be quite a challenge this weekend. But my motivation for doing something will be my kids and my fear of becoming totally housebound. So I will push myself as i try to do everyday to go somewhere, even if it's just a drive around the neighborhood.
Thanks alot Mike,
We have just descided on a last minute camping trip with some friends. I'm a little anxious but since it is last minute I haven't had time to think about it, which is probably a good thing.
However, since the lake is about an hour away & I'll be sleeping in a tent I'm really wondering if I'll be able to enjoy it. But I don't ever want my kids to suffer because of my problem & that is my motivation for almost evrything.
I know I'll be fine!!
So I'll let you all know in a day or so how things go. (It's only 1 night)
I hope everyone of us have a very good weekend!!

For us here in the states this is a holiday weekend filled with parades, fireworks and gatherings...in otherwords a difficult time for us with anxiety.
Here is a wish that all of us find the courage to participate in some of the festivities this weekend with family and friends and that our anxiety has the common decency to remain in check to allow us to enjoy ourselves.
Concentrate, do your relaxation techniques, take your meds if needed, meditate, read your favorite chapter from your favorite self-help book, post a message here...just do whatever it takes to find your patch of joy this weekend!
Best wishes to everyone. Happy 4th!
Mike
