Good Morning Sam Quitting Smoking can be a very confusing time.Your body is still adjusting to a smoke free life and this is going to affect you emotionally as well. This may be your time of mourning for your exfriend Nicotine so turn it's a** toward the door and give it a shove. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 124 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,232 Amount Saved: $1,240.00 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 8 Mins: 4 Seconds: 32

Thank you Tresa.. Trying very hard to keep a positive and UP attitude. Today so far is proving to be a little more trying than my other days. I can't seem to put a finger on what has made me feel rather low. Feeling somewhat teary eyed - but not a full out cry. There are a few things going on right now, but they are positives so who knows what's happening. Just have to keep distracting myself .. I guess. xo My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 320 Amount Saved: $116.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 19 Mins: 47 Seconds: 4

Every day we are going to run into something which may cause us some level of stress or anxiety. We live in a world which just throws things at us and we have to simply cope with everything without a smoke in hand. I know that this sounds so simple but if one truly does not wish to smoke anymore and lead a much healthier life, to taste freedom and not to be shackled by the almighty cigarette than turning up your coping mechanisms and forging ahead kicking that nicodemon on it's a$$ is THE only solution ! We cannot rush this process. We have to take it minute by minute in little baby steps, hour by hour, moment by moment, day by day ! At the end of each of those days we MUST celebrate our personal victory.. BECAUSE WE DID IT ! We made it THROUGH ! There will always... ALWAYS be something that we must tackle. It may not be every single day, but there will always be the person who ticks you off, a money problem, a health issue, a relationship quibble and so on. They existed before when we WERE smoker's and they will still be there as NON SMOKER'S. This time though as a non smoker we grab for other coping tools.. these particular tools will NOT kill us, rather they will make us stronger individuals and we will grow both mentally and emotionally from our experiences rather than hiding behind the blue cloud which used to surround us. We are becoming stronger.. healthier.. more confident.. WE ARE NON SMOKER'S and we should be celebrating our freedom everyday regardless if your into day 1 or day 1,000.. CELEBRATE ! WE'RE DOING IT ! ! ! ! YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ! ! ! ! ! Happy smoke free weekend to all ;) Sam xo My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 300 Amount Saved: $108.75 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 17 Mins: 16 Seconds: 58

Hi :) I'm just checking in.. thank you very much for your support. Just briefly, I'm helping my sister as she's going through a really rough patch in her life right now and she's needs me. I have been very distracted with her, giving her a shoulder to lean on, we have been going out to the mall, for lunches, saw a movie etc etc to keep her from 'thinking' and then come the end of the day we're both very exhausted. I haven't had time to think about smoking what with being so busy and all. I've had a few little 'tweaks' of sneaking out for one but then it all passes almost as quickly as it hits. Therefore I have remained smoke free during this stressful time. I KNOW that smoking won't make her problem go away nor will it solve anything for her. Yes, she smokes.. but she goes outside to do it and with being in all non smoking places - movies, malls, restaurants she simply can't light up. When she does go out I very much notice the smell and sure it's somewhat unsettling but doesn't get to me. I'm hangin' tough Tresa.. no worries :) Ok.. I'm off in an hour to go to her place. Have a great day all ! Checking in when I can !
