Thank you all for the replies. I didn't know that after 16 months someone could have such a hard time. It was almost worse than hellweek but it's over now and I am still a nonsmoker. The little puppy is doing great and it's a joy to have her. Here she is My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 468 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 14,040 Amount Saved: 2,211.30 Life Gained: Days: 65 Hrs: 23 Mins: 51 Seconds: 45

We'll miss you Dutch! And enjoy that puppy! Isn't it crazy what can trigger a thought? And yes, one day at a time! Hello Dutch, you don't know me but I was about at the same point you are when I started again after a yr and 4mos smoke-free. I stopped coming to this site as often as I used to. I thought I had it licked. Truth is one night after going out to dinner with a friend I started back smoking! I wasn't even craving at all. It's taken me a yr to get back in here and to quit again. Now I have 3 days. I said all this to say, never forget it's still one day at a time. And keep coming to this site to post & help the newbies because in turn you will be helping yourself. Never get to confident. Addiction is sneaky and it's always waiting there for you to come back. Just breathe... Cigarettes Not Smoked

17 years ago 0 1127 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hello all my friends, I want to say I'm sorry for not being here so long. The reason for that is that I have a puppydog and she takes all my time. She is cute as can be but very naughty sometimes. I cannot spend time on the pc. I have discovered that our mind is a strange thing. I'll explane what I mean: I have another dog and when I bought that one I was still a smoker. Every time I went outside to let the little thing pee I took a ciggy with me. That was 5 years ago. Now with this new puppy my mind told me that I smoked in a situation like this. Isn't that strange? I had triggers for a whole week. I didn't give in but I sure was happy to know what was happening. I hope you all understand what I mean because I don't know the good words in English. Anyway: I will be gone for 3 weeks and I will not be on the pc much. Bye for now and you all have a good time :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 466 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,980 Amount Saved: 2,201.85 Life Gained: Days: 65 Hrs: 17 Mins: 15 Seconds: 55
