Hi Kev,
Congratulations on having another go at it. I know the new ban in the UK will help you.
I just want to say a few words about anticipation:
There are many quitters who anticipate the quit to be all-consuming and extremely difficult for weeks. They are constantly thinking about the memories of smoking, and triggers are everywhere and difficult to fight. For those quitters, it is very hard.
Some quitters don't anticipate, but rather take each day as it comes without any expectation of how it will be. Some days are much easier than others, for sure, but a positive attitude goes a long way. I am not saying this makes a quit "easy", but it sure beats being miserable on a daily basis, waiting for the next trigger.
If we expect something to be difficult, our minds will make it so.
Please keep your eye on the prize. Don't waver from your desire to quit and you will be successful. Not smoking is it's own reward, in addition to any others you have planned.
I'm still here, and I am really pulling for you!
