Panic is MEAN!

Hi, I just wanted to say that the heat is a major factor in my panic. It's been terrible for me lately because i live in the southeast where its always hot and humid in the summer. I often break out in a sweat and feel like i cant breathe and i'm dying. I have been wondering if anyone else was affected by heat too but i haven't posted this question yet. I am relieved that i'm not the only one. Samantha

lynds, Yes heat does have an affect on my ability to cope with anxiety and panic. I live in a climate here on Maui that is about the same everyday which helps me tremendously. I recently took a trip to my home town Houston, Texas which really stressed me. Not only the traffic, murder, mayhem, and BIG time heat and humidity had me on edge the entire visit. I am now back on Maui and am happy to say that I am feeling better. I hope you find peace and cool tranquility in your life. Rose

Hi everyone this is my first time talking online about my panic. I can relate to you rose. I went about 6 months without a big attack and I got so bad in the late spring with heat that I had to stay in hospital for 3 days. Does the heat make anyone else panic??? I feel better now. Thanks for listening :confuse: I was in a 2 year program that helped me. I know I will never be free from this, but I want to live a semi-normal life.

I just finished Lesson 12 of the Panic Program last week, and they said to expect those bumps in the road to come up, and expect them. We will become completely better over time....one hopes....keep the faith!

I couldn't remember the last panic attack I had...it's been months but today I didn't have anything full blown but I felt that really messed up stuff that goes with it. I took a xanax and I am reasonably calm now. Still chest pains and clammy. I just wanted to tell anyone that wanted to listen...I still think I'm on the road to recovery but today was a BUMP in the road for sure. Thanks for being here so that I can vent with you all! Rose
