Cheeks You right on that...This is very much a mind game and proves that humans are always the authors of their own futures...I believe in the statement "thinking makes it so"...In this world bad things do happen to good people (on a regular basis it would appear), however, we also invite some of that into our lives through our internal conversations... Glad to see that you are doing so well... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 194 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,820 Amount Saved: $1,358.00 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 8 Mins: 52 Seconds: 30

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Day 3 is proving to be the most difficult so far, but I kind of expected that...maybe that's why it is more difficult?! Hi, Jenn, welcome to the site. It must be kind of cramped for you in your nutshell! HA! I kill me! Anyway, there are plenty of nuts here so you should feel right at home. I'm a patch user too & that plus the wonderful people here have helped to keep me quit! You came to the right place. Welcome Jenn! You have found the best help on the web here! Congrats on quitting. I did the patch too! So you're already through the worst of it, and now it just gets better and better. Be realistic, be committed, close the door to smoking behind you and don't look back! Read all the posts you can, it will really help as to what to expect etc. WE are here to help, post often and let us know how you are doing! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 123 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,075 Amount Saved: $1,297.65 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 1 Mins: 36 Seconds: 41

Hello... I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jenn and I quit smoking on July 4th after smoking for almost 20 years. I just found this community yesterday and so far it has been really helpful. I know that I'm going to need support from people who have been through this. My DH has never been a smoker and doesn't quite understand the physical and emotional addiction to cigarettes. I am using the patch and so far it is making this quit much easier to cope with than previous attempts. I am a nursing student and I work full time as a nursing assistant, so I have a pretty hectic schedule with plenty of stress. I want to be a healthier person, especially considering the career I am going into. So...that's me in a nutshell. Jenn :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 30 Amount Saved: $6.75 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 5 Mins: 11 Seconds: 47
