I didn't mean to sound snotty, and I wasn't trying to be difficult. I guess I was just playing the devil's advocate. I'm really good at that! :eg: Crave the Quit! Duh Phil You are just being too darned English! I mean that's OK really but does it matter so much what we call it as long as we do it. How about we say the CSC (Ceased Smoking Centre) or HGUSC (Have Given Up Smoking Centre). Gen :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 97 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,552 Amount Saved: 485.00 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 21 Mins: 14 Seconds: 20

I didn't find the definition you found, especially the one about admitting defeat. I did find these, however. to stop, cease, or discontinue to depart from; leave to acquit or conduct to free or rid (oneself) I like that last one, and that's the one I identify my quit with. When I think of quitting, I think of freeing myself from my addiction and ridding my body of toxins. Phil, it's all a matter of semantics, and each person is perfectly able to call it what they want. Crave the Quit! I note we are not at the QSC :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 50 Amount Saved: 8.40 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 6 Seconds: 35
