Hi Sammi I totally relate to your post I feel exactly the same way!! I was doing better also through therapy and now it seems as if I'm right back to the beginning.I'm just going to continue my therapy and take it one day at a time (some days one hour at a time lol) Just wanted to let you know you're not alone with what you are feeling!!!

Sammi, Have you tried our Panic Program, to the left of your screen, under "tools"? Many of our supporters have raved of it's helpfulness. We also have a "Reference Tool" for Exposure Therapy. This tool is also very helpful, keep in mind: 1. Doing exposure work is hard. We hope that the support group will help make doing exposure work a bit easier. 2. Learning how to do exposure work isn't easy either. It takes time to figure out what works for you. It takes time to figure out what causes you some anxiety but not too much. Again, we hope that people use the support group to help each other figure out how to do this. 3. Exposure work is not the same as "Just Doing It". The key difference is that exposure exercises are planned in advance and exposure exercises are designed to make you somewhat anxious but not too anxious. Also in exposure work you stay in the situation long enough or repeat the exposure exercise often enough to experience a decrease in fear. When people "Just Do It" they tend to get in and out of the situation as quickly as possible. As a result, they never experience a decrease in fear, and so they never unlearn their anxiety. Our support group is also a wonderful asset to tap into. They are a group of knowledgeable and supportive people, who have lots of experience to draw from. Please keep posting your thoughts, Josie

I woke up this morning having a panic attack. Not that thats really anything new, but i have been doing better for about the past month. It was so bad for me that I didnt even go to work today. I was too terrified to leave the safety of my house. Now its after lunch time and I am still sitting here with the doors locked, and the curtains and blinds closed. I feel like I am wasting my life. I have not accomplished anything today. It is unusual for me not to go to work when I am supposed to, but when I am at home and I am not doing something productive it drives me crazy. In fact it even causes more anxiety attacks. It seems like a lose-lose situation. I panic if i have alot of housework to be done, i panic if i have done too much housework, i panic if i have to go to work, i panic if i DONT go to work. :quest: What am i supposed to do? I am soooo tired of this stupid sickness controlling my life. Help!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone else feel like you are sick all the time? When people ask you "where have you been? I haven't saw you in ages?" How do you answer them? I cant admit to them that almost the only place I go is to work because I am too scared to be around people and go places! I'm running out of excuses. I dont even like to answer my phone when it rings. I just want to go back to being the old me again. I cant take this anymore!!! I feel like some kind of freak. Is there anyone out there who can relate to this?
