Tryagain,
At least you didn't smoke!!!!! Congratulations! Always remember H.A.L.T. Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired. It sounds like you have all of these working against you. Manslow's theory says we must take care of our hiarchy of needs. You basic needs must be met before you can move forward.
The diet isn't important right now. You can work on that later. Don't go overboard but don't obsess about it either. When things are too much, stop and take some deep breaths and collect your thoughts. The most important thing is that you do not smoke no matter what!
The nic gum is much better than going out and getting cigarettes. Get as much rest as you can, be sure to eat right, drink a lot of water, take a lot of dep breaths, and by all means, take a break! Do something fun. I see you are at 148 days. Do something special and extrodinary to celebrate that 150 day mark! It's reward time!!!!!
Congratulations. I am very proud of you for not smoking. You are doing great!
