Baby one day at a time...you can do this....you really want it! Tell yourself when you think you want one, "I will not smoke right now!" you are wise for coming here. be strong and remember that smoking solves nothing. nothing. you have came to the right place. it may sound simple and dumb but the easiest way to quit is to just not do it. weigh the reasons to smoke with the reasons not to and not smoking will out weigh it. keep it up. your gonna do this. Well, you have found the best place for help, Babymakes3! Do the program to the left it really helps, and read read read all the posts you can! If you are finding it really tough you may want to check with your Doc about an NRT. Pregnant or not, it is better than smoking! Post here for help and we are here! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 100 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,500 Amount Saved: $1,055.00 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 6 Mins: 9 Seconds: 16

Thank you for responding! I am not using anything except faith in God and the love I have for my children and Hubby. For the past few weeks I have been telling anyone that would listen that I will not smoke in my third trimester......I tried quitting in my first, tried again in my second but gave up both times. I tried weening myself off of smoking, I would be thrilled with myself because I would go to work and smoke 1 or 2 than come home and be crushed because I would realize I was chain smoking 6 or 7! I hate smoking! I hate the looks I get when people notice I am pregnant and lighting up, I hate the way I feel like I need a smoke and then feel tremendous guilt after I put it out. I want this really bad....I am frustrated and feel like a junky who needs a fix but come hell or high water I will get it right this time!!!!!!! Babymakes3, Congratulations! Now you have a bunch of best friends in this site. The "best friend" you gave up was a two-faced liar. Devious in his intent, to hook you and never let you go until the end. Usually the end is not a happy one. You are making the best decision of your life for you and your kids! Take deep breathes just like labor through the bad craves. I kind of look at the withdrawal like labor because it is really bad at the moment but it will end. Best of luck and read & post alot! Good Morning Everyone: Well I am 22 weeks pregnant as of yesterday, and quit smoking yesterday. I feel like hell! I had terrible dreams and cravings all night, my entire body was itchy and tense. I don't think I have ever been through anything quite as miserable. I am really trying hard to remind myself that today is a new day and that I am strong (or need to be for my unborn child, and the other two kids I have that deserve to have their Mom around) All this being said, does anyone have any advice on how to deal with the terrible cravings and painful needy moments? Please don't bash me for smoking this far into my pregnancy, I already feel like a loser. I am doing my best and have managed to go 24 hours without what used to be my only vice......I feel like I gave up my best friend and have no one to lean on. (SO PATHETIC!) Thanks for taking the time to read this and any advice would be really appreciated.
