Kev, We are all so proud of you! Yes, it's been rocky for you now and then, but you are trying so hard! You are going to beat this addiction, you know it, and we know it. Keep posting...I was worried about you! Hi everyone. Nice to see you all again and thanks for the nice words!. Well I have now set my counter. I am already six hours into my quit. Focusing on keeping it going. Taking everything as a positive. Loads of things I have done differently this time in the run up to it. I'm considering it the BIG one. I will explain what they are when I am further into my quit. Hi Kev. Glad to see that you are still out there, working at the quit process. It is a process - and everytime you make an attempt and every book, CD, posting, etc... that you absorb will bring you a step closer to the ultimate goal. Don't be pressured to do it on anyone else's schedule - but keep working at it till you get it right! (And I do believe that you WILL get it right, in the near future. :) ) (((Hugs))) - Freemom My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/29/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 72 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 864 Amount Saved: $293.76 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 17 Mins: 14 Seconds: 18

You will do this JDK; once you make up your mind and Believe. I have a hypnotic cd that I listen to when I am trying to fall asleep. Everything that we can do helps. But, the main principle that I recite to myself is, Smoking is a CHOICE. When we smoke, it is because we CHOOSE to do it. We are in charge of our choices. Good vibes to you JDK. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 14 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 336 Amount Saved: $70.00 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 23 Mins: 52 Seconds: 16

Hi All, Just in case you thought I had disappeared :) I am still around and have been reading these forums every day. Thought I had better start a new thread as the other one was getting off-topic a bit. Well I never did get to reset my counter as a reward but thats not to say I haven't been attempting to tackle my addiction to cigarettes. Tuesday I went out and bought the Paul McKenna 'Quit Smoking Today' book and CD. The CD is a mind suggestion trance type thing and the book is a list of techniques to help with cravings. Its quite possibly the first book I will ever finish. I have to listen to the CD every day for two weeks whether I smoke or not. I'll let you know how I get on. Just thought I would say hi. p.s. Casey/Josie : feel free to lock the other thread Kev My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: -21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: -525 Amount Saved: -88.20 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: -223607
