Hi Pentinent and Aloha, Thanks for dropping by. It makes my day too! Right, as I am now over the first hurdle, and to avoid the wrath of the mods I will start a new thread for the new me. Imaginitively titled 'JDK Thread #4' :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/17/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 25 Amount Saved: 4.20 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 3 Mins: 38 Seconds: 52

    Cigarettes Not Smoked

Hi All, I've got some great news. I am 2hrs away from 24hrs complete not smoking. So it is party time. I am opening the virtual tea/coffee bar (given that it is 7am) but alcohol beverages are available for those of a later timezone. :) I'm HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY! Yes a nice positive post to wake up to. Ok, I am using the patches AND CD. Though it doesn't get rid of the feeling of constantly wanting a cigarette, it does get rid of the feeling that 'I will do ANYTHING for a cigarette'. First of all, I would like to thank all of you for keeping a check on me and posting positive stuff. Phil, Lolo, Pat, Freemom, Pentinent, Josie, Casey, Danielle, Mercy et al. You know who you are. Day 2 very shortly, only 6 days till the end of hell week and only 6 days to that laptop. Cigarettes Not Smoked

Aloha, It a deal for sure. Once I work out how Yahoo popup blocker can get disabled :) I'm feeling much happier now. I could be on the road now. The change in plan seems to have helped. Given the timeframes, you may be the first to know if I managed the full 24hrs. Hi Aloha, Yes I think it was down for a while on Friday. The gardening stuff is good, and in your climate you can grow a lot more. How about a banana plant? Hi Danielle, If it was 7 days, I would personally hug everyone I met and virtually hug everyone here. At the moment it is 8 hrs here 12hrs there. Those emails I get sent with advice, help loads though. My wall is now filled with them. SSC is a godsend for keeping me going, it makes me so determined. It is a case of dust myself off and carry on, each time changing the plan and learning what I did wrong last time. I am tired but still positive. Seeing pentinents quit days counter also does a great deal for me. Right back to working on it. See ya monday. Hey kev Bear posted something about frip in a thread called SO. he was trying to get a pic up of her, but couldn't. Nice to know Phil and the Sunflowers (now, there's a 60s band if i ever heard one...lol) are doing well. You guys inspired me to get a garden going. I don't think I named any of them, but they're all doing pretty well. Hope you're keeping on quitting. Anything I can do to help? Unfortunately I couldn't get into the site for about 12 hours the other day...right at the beginning. But I'll be around if you want to talk -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 86 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,440 Amount Saved: $584.80 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 2 Mins: 12 Seconds: 29
