Jill, To change your quit meter, follow these steps: 1. Log into the SSC. You will automatically be taken to your glove compartment. 2. In your glove compartment, you'll see a blue icon in the top right corner. This is your personal profile. 3. Re-set your quit date 4. Select the change icon next to your quit date to save the changes. Danielle - Bilingual Support Specialist

Thank you all for the welcome, i have read Allen Carr's book about five times i think, it does give you motivation to stop but my problem is staying stopped. And that is the hard bit isn't it? I cant remember how to change my quit meter because the one shown is from my last attempt, it looks pretty good though pity i blew it. Never mind this time will be for ever. Jill, Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on making the decision to quit smoking! We encourage you to take the time to work through the online quit program located in your glove compartment. Also be sure to read through our forums. Both have a lot of useful information about quitting that will help you along your journey. Keep us posted. Danielle - Bilingual Support Specialist

Hi Jill, Since you have a few weeks you may want to check out Alenn Carrs Easy Way to Quit book or something, if you have not already. I forget what it is called. I did not use this book but I read a few chapters afer I already started my quit and wished I would have read the whole book before quitting. It's seems to be a great prep for the big day. you don't need luck, just the right attitude and you've got that. Hello i am Jill, from Sheffield, England I have set my quit day for July 3rd, and yet another attempt to rid myself of this disgusting habit. I have found that preparation is so important before putting out that final cig. I have been building my arsenal of weapons and am psyching myself up ready for the big day. Any tips will gratefully recieved.
