mjbsuns.....here lets brush you off......lets see....yeah, I think we got all...You can do it....it's alright....one day at a time right? right! mjbsuns, while your frustration and disappointment is natural, don't let those things get in the way of further progress. You had a slip, and the fact is that MOST people who successfully quit smoking... have at least a few slips before attaining long term success. So... you're in good company. And yes, some people get it first time out, but they're the exception, not the rule. You know how many 26 year olds come to SSC and get over a hundred days? I don't know the exact number either, but I'll bet that very few do. There are a fair number of older quitters that do, but not many at the age of 26. So... you're doing very well, as far as I'm concerned. You just need to get back on the horse, now, and keep going. And while you may have ratchetted up the psychological craving somewhat, I don't think you'll have to go through hell week, At least not to anything like the degree that you did initially. Your hundred plus days taught you something about staying smoke free, and so did your slip. Use it to your advantage... and get back on track... NOW, before you get entrenched as a smoker again. We're rooting for you, mjbsuns! We want you to succeed and to win back your life! You went a long way, a day at a time. Well... it's still today. What are you going to do with it? mj, You have youth on your side. I wish I had your commitment when I was 26. You can and will do this if you really, really want to and I think you really, really want to - good luck!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1107 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 22,140 Amount Saved: 5,535.00 Life Gained: Days: 177 Hrs: 19 Mins: 35 Seconds: 52

Just saw now that you set your quit meter for tomorrow... Maybe next time you could come here and post, vent, express your stress - wait for at least 10 responses to help you get through it ? That strategy has helped me :) Happy to see that you are getting back into it :) Jean My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,400 Amount Saved: $574.00 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 7 Mins: 43 Seconds: 26

I agree with Phil.. a couple of slips ? It happened it's overwith ? Have you smoked since those couple ?
DO NOT WANT TO BE A SMOKER AND I WILL MAKE ANOTHER EFFORT DOWN THE HARD ROAD OF QUITTING AGAIN VERY SOON.
How about quitting now ? Don't beat yourself up too badly.. if it's done and over with, dust yourself off and get back into your quit a.s.a.p.! Just one quick reminder - there's always going to be some source of stress. Same thing happened to me and that was part of my learning during my own journey as a non smoker. I learned from my 'slip' and moved on. Be strong -- (((((((((hugs))))))))) of support ! Yeah they tasted horrible almost made me want to throw up but I ended up throwing the rest of the pack away because it just did nothing for me which is good just after 106 of not smoking one even after I only had one I just felt sick inside knowing I had one.. Hey guys I feel so bad right now I had a couple of smokes this weekend and I feel so awful about it i've just had a ton of stress these past few weeks with job related issues that the temptation just got to strong... I am so angry at myself for caving in after so fing long I cursed at myself the day after knowing where just having one cig can lead to :( I totally let myself down and not sure what to think right now. I will try to quit again because I almost made it and I think once all this stress gets behind me I can do it again and get back on the quit wagon i'm not giving up just cause of this one bad mistake I made. I DO NOT WANT TO BE A SMOKER AND I WILL MAKE ANOTHER EFFORT DOWN THE HARD ROAD OF QUITTING AGAIN VERY SOON.
