I could have smoked today

Nance, I'm sorry about you cat. I am an animal lover...BIG TIME. Yes.....when cigarettes are not your very first thought (like they use to be)...it is surprising. I'm sorry you couldn't enjoy that thought more. I have a cute little dog. She is a hurricane Katrina survivor. They found her three months after the hurricane almost starved to death. She is the BEST dog ever. I have had her a year now. But... I spent some mad money on a surgery she needed on her back. It is mostly paid now......and she is worth every penny. I quit a couple of weeks after her surgery. I felt so bad when I would go to kiss her and she would do that sniff (blowing the air outta her nose thing) cuz I must have stunk to her. Let us know how you are doing. I feel your hurt. Thanks Audrey. Even though I knew I was doing the right and only thing I could do, it was still painful for me. The fact that I did it without thinking about getting a smoke from someone shows me how far I have come. Each trigger I overcome makes me stronger. Thanks again. Nance, Cry as much as your heart desires. I would cry for a week if it was me. That was something my parents always decided but I have two cats and my day will come and I can't imagine. You didn't want to see the dear one suffer either. You did the right thing and better yet you didn't smoke. There are much better things you can do to make yourself feel better. Get your crying done, get it out of your system, then go do something nice for yourself. Sorry about your cat :( Audrey My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 130 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,600 Amount Saved: $364.00 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 17 Mins: 4 Seconds: 48

But I didn't. I had to have my cat put down :( ...I couldn't bear to see her suffer. She was 18 years old and going quickly downhill, but that doesn't make it any easier. It was one of those "gee, a few months ago I would have smoked a whole pack by now" days, but instead, today I just cried. And that was okay! I may cry tomorrow, too.
