Electronic Cigarettes

17 years ago 0 813 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Besides, folks have already made way too much cash from our poor judgement with regard to nicotine. The last thing we need is an electronic cigarette or should I say an electronic cash machine for the promoter. Just goes to show "The bigger the lie, the more people will believe it"...PT Barnum sure knew a thing or two. nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 160 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,800 Amount Saved: $1,120.00 Life Gained: Days: 29 Hrs: 6 Mins: 2 Seconds: 30

This is funny. Sounds like jojo (who I believe has been here before?) is having an internal battle with this terrible addiction. Hey, let's not be too hard on him. When I fell before I had went out and bought nicotine free cigarettes (actually, it had minute traces of nicotine) to justify my smoking. Someone has marketed these smokes that are 3 steps, each with a lower nicotine. The addict in me saw them as 'safe'---even though I knew, deep down inside, what a slippery slope I was on. I was back to smoking in no time. Keep doing some soul-searching and studying up on what you need to do to quit. I don't think this is really what you want, but it is a great sales pitch! There's a sucker born every minute, and I've been a sucker once or twice myself! Well that made the junkie sit up and take notice. Although the junkie is always listening in the background, it lost influence when we decided to quit. Now we have an autonicotineinjector to fight off the beast for us; feed the junkie in us all without really smoking. It's kind of like a crack pipe, only legal. Tell me, were do I get one of these? Do I have to go to a dark alley and casually pass a hundred dollars to a gang member to get one? Wait, this is the 21st century. I can probably get one over the web and delivered to my house in a plain wrapped package... Sorry everyone, it was the whole idea of this product that set me off. I can see someone actually making this and preying on people much like us, junkies. They know we can be motivated for a fix. All they have to do is plant the seed and the junkie will take it from there. Shame, shame, shame... Im with Lainey on this one. The only thing I wish to add is that you have to really want to quit and give yourself credit in advance for being able to. Jojo, you almost sound unsure of yourself. Patches dont quit smoking, people quit, the patch is just an aid. The aid isnt what enables the quit its really your will power.

Rusty hit it dead-on with "that smoker look." Immediate image in my mind: Wasted away and in a coffin. That's the real "smoker look." Oh dear Lord. I've become one of *those* ex-smokers. JoJO Must admit it was my wifes nagging that drove me to stop smoking. Not sure about the electronic cigarettes. Try and invent and electronic nozzly thing!
