Last cigarette at 5:30 pm on 5/17/2007. Just waiting to get through all these craves. There is light at the end of this tunnel and it leads to healthy living and feeling good about myself again. I am using the patch and I have psyched myself that I can not take it off and I can not smoke with it on. If I were to take it off I would still have to wait two hours to smoke and by then the crave would be over with. So why bother? It is crazy though how this demon will try rationalize smoking just one cigarette. I know it is a monster I must defeat! My reward is feeling good about myself and getting a good nights sleep, taking a vigorous walk, and a relaxing bath. I have been so ashamed of myself that quitting is actually it's own reward. Sorry to ramble on! This seems to help me! Moderator- if I get to lengthy please delete, I may hog the airwaves today! Just wondering if anybody has a quit date of tomorrow? I am slipping on the patch tonight after I clean up my ashtrays and get rid of all the cigarette butts laying around in the yard. Gross huh? I don't trust myself! I want to get the patch on and working for tomorrow morning because morning is the worst. Just wondering if there might be a quit buddy lerking? Mylast
