Hi guys, I've been reading some posts.....and feeling some compassion for some of the struggles you are having. I also tend to look at the stats. I'd just like to comment that you have to be patient. I know that 5 days....or 20 days seems like a longtime. I know some of you feel you should be mostly over it by now. Some feel they are taking two steps backwards for everyone forward. I felt that way with every quit...till I learned it truly is a process. You got to go with the flow.......you got to sort of "chill" with the quit. Ride it out. Mostly...be patient. You guys are totally NORMAL... and what you feel is real. When you got the flu it takes time to get better and you ride the discomfort out. The same with quiting smoking. It takes time to get better and you have to bear with the discomfort. It will...and does get easier. YOU NEED TO HEAR THAT. There isn't a certain month or day that happens. It is gradual. This doesn't last at this intensity forever. Be kind to yourself...... Taking it easy. Letting things ride/or slide isn't so bad...and when you are feeling better you won't even remember those projects you let go..... or the groucy week you had. Keep looking at the UGLY of the habit ...and not the romance of it. I hope this helps.
