Hi Penguin, When I read your statement I had every intention of not smoking, and it is that intention that helped me through, I remembered 2 other great statements from SSC members that have stayed with me. One was from Mirbah. It is beautiful in its simplicity: BREATH - it is important. Sometimes all you can do is say, yes, I want a smoke, and no, I am not having one now. N.O.P.E. not one puff ever. Isnt that just perfect? Its everything you need. The other is from Newbkr: YOURE NOT MAKING A DECISION WHETHER TO SMOKE WITH EACH CRAVING. THE DECISION GETS MADE ONCE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO NOW IS WHATEVER IT TAKES TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON THAT DECISION. YOU KNOW ITS THE RIGHT DECISION. DO NOT LET A CRAVING MAKE YOU DOUBT IT. It was a take off from a statement in a book shed read on training for a marathon, but fits just about everything. Congratulations on your 30 days. There is nothing HO HUM about keeping your quit for 30 days especially with some of the trials youve faced. Hurray for you! Not cravin', never cavin'. My little brother calls me "mother goose"....now we all know that geese can fly....I am comin' over and spend some time with you....we will discuss it.....you know lots of things are possible with ole Mother Goose. lots of stories written about the impossible happening ;p So drag me up a comfortable place to settle down in your rookery and we will see what we can do about your flying. Penguin, Please take the time to check with your doctor regarding your difficulty in breathing. They will be able to rule out anything medical and assist you in coming up with a plan to help you sleep better. You can also use relaxation techniques to ease yourself into sleep and start fresh in the morning :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
