I'm Back!

Hi Freemom, Let's forget the little slip, and move forward. You're back, with the right attitude, doing the right things, and this time is the last time you will ever have to quit. It's a beautiful thing...just like you! Freemom, I've been following your activies for some time (you're the cheerleader mom, right? If not, I'm way off base, as usual), and I rejoice in your new success. I am, however, dismayed that you connect your stressful life to your need to smoke. There is no connection there. We choose to take on more than we can handle, and we choose to smoke. We choose to limit our commitments, and we choose not to smoke. Either way, we're in control, Freemom. Me, I'm cheering for you. Make the choices that are right for you. It could be that someone else can raise the funds this week. peteg My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 145 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,296 Amount Saved: $797.5 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 15 Mins: 32 Seconds: 34

Thanks for the welcoming messages. So far so good today - no real effort not to smoke, no cravings YET, just a fleeting thought here and there. I think knowing I did it before is making it feel easier to do. Hope everyone else is having an easy day, too! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

Hi all. Well I'm back on the Chantix full time again and I've had my last cig and I'm ready to get back to my quit. It has been a very hectic and stressful 2 1/2 weeks and though my event went well, I'm soooo glad it's over. (For those who don't know, I was running a major fundraising event for my daughters' school. I had no time to check in here and read posts (tried to do a quick catch up tonight, hey, I barely had time to sleep or eat right recently. Now I have a few relatively quiet weeks to catch up and take care of me, my family and my house while I go back to quitting. Once again, if I just need to lie down and rest to replenish myself, I can and since the weather is getting nicer if I am anxious and start craving I can go out and take a walk AND if I really need to keep my mind and hands occupied I can start putting order back into my home - from my closets and drawers to the kids toys to just overall clean-ups! So I feel like I am much better prepared this time and can truly be successful. I realized I like myself and my life much better as a non-smoker. I am so relieved to be back here and moving forward again. Thanks to all who supported me and believed in me even during my (temporary) downfall! - Freemom My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: $0 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0
