Hi Bobbi! Hang in there girl! You have some options here! Now with the patches, its up to you, you can go back up to the 21mg for a few more days or even a few more weeks, that is totally up to you Bobbi and maybe that's not a bad idea if you are having trouble. Don't worry about how much nicotine is in the patch, it is still way less than if you smoked! And some people stay on the patch a long time to give themselves more time to step down. The other scenario is you could tough it out on the 14mg. That also is up to you! You know what tools you need Bobbi, the water, candies, gum, a distraction of any sort to help. Stay here reading, and posting, that will help. Do the deep breathing! In and out, remember s l o w l y! Hope this is helping! Bobbi, Tomorrrow you will have a better day. Usually after a month you run into a little bit of a wall. Follow the patch program as instructed. When having a hard time.... use some mental escape techniques. Like watching a movie. It takes up time. Often just being outdoors for brisk walks help. Do some cigarette research on the computor. Look up some of the disgusting stuff that can happen to you if you were to keep on smoking. Look at some of the posts in this site about what cigarettes are really made of. Hope this helps Mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 107 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,158 Amount Saved: $478.29 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 23 Mins: 57 Seconds: 18

Hi all, I am really having a hard time tonight the worst I have had in the mo. that I have quit, I went on the 14 mg. patches this eve. don't know the affect of these yet. of course have been on the 21 mg. for the 6 weeks, I am so fearful, I have had bad times on the 21 mg. so now what will happen that I am on smaller mg.. also does anyone know if it would be harmful to stay on 21 mg. patch forever? my husband said nicotine is still getting into your body and that is not good???? I thought just so it isn;t in your lungs would be ok?????? just don't know also read that nicotine helps with the appitite and keeps metabolisum reved up, was wondering as I have not gained at all since I quit and that is not like me as the last time I quit was cold turkey and gained 33 lbs. in 6 mo. I have done so good all this time but tonight guys I am a total emotional wreck, trying to fight off the tears, screaming and running around like a wild women. I DO NOT like how I am feeling tonight at all just want all of it to go away!!!!!!!! I have no desire to smoke as I said just want piece of mind. don't know what to do!!!!!!! I guess I should just go to bed and sleep hopefully things will be better tomorrow. am saying extra prayers. Hugs and prayers, Bobbi My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/27/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 42 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,288 Amount Saved: $105 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 7 Mins: 34 Seconds: 32

Bobbi, You okay today? I have no advice on the patches...I'm using Chantix. Sometimes those craves just hit us, then it's time to get back to basics. I keep a list of self-talk phrases and read them over when I go through a rough time, drink water, have a snack, do something, anything, that will keep my mind off of the crave, and of course, come here and read and post. I hope today is a better day for you. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 48 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,943 Amount Saved: $326.4 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 16 Mins: 24 Seconds: 2

Bobbi, Lots of great advice here :) How are you doing today? It is a good idea to check with your doctor and or pharmacist regarding dosages and stepping down. Take some you time and refocus on the task at hand. We are here to help and assist :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

Hi Bobbi Sorry, I did not see this last night. I really hope you are doing better today. I have had those really rough days, and all you can do it to scream, cry, sleep or do whatever it takes to get you through. It does get better and those bad days get fewer and fewer.\ Hang in there, we are all pulling for you. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 69 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,735 Amount Saved: $345 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 8 Mins: 24 Seconds: 42

Bobbi, You hang in there, okay. I think it's a good idea for you to go to bed and get some rest. I'll bet that you are feeling much better tomorrow. I haven't used the patch, so I really can't add any advice on that. Hopefully, some of our fellow patch users can offer their experiences. Hope you feel better in the morning, Boxerfan My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 755 Amount Saved: $205 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 16 Mins: 43 Seconds: 45
