Vivid dreams last night !

Jean49, Dreams about smoking are quite common among quitting and can last for up to a few weeks. As unnerving as they can be, try to keep in mind it's just your addicted brain trying to play tricks. Danielle _____________________ The SSC Support Team

I've only had two smoking dreams. I think. I rarely remember my dreams so if I've had more than two, I don't remember them at all. The first one was about 2 or 3 weeks ago, maybe longer, and it was really vivid. I remembered it straight away and was so upset when I woke up because I just knew I had blown my quit. Then I raised up, looked around me, and realized that it was only a dream. Man, the relief that rushed over me!!! Last week I had another dream but didn't remember having it until later on in the afternoon. LOL I was in the kitchen when I remembered having the dream and it scared the crap out of me. I actually gasped :gasp: while standing in the kitchen......hours and hours after getting out of bed. Weird, huh? I'm glad I rarely remember my dreams. Jean, for what it's worth... at this point in my quit, the dreams are rarely an issue... and I now sleep for much longer stretches without waking; sometimes I sleep right through till morning. Feels good! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 51 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,283 Amount Saved: $471.75 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 8 Mins: 55 Seconds: 17

Yes Audrey, that's what I want - a dream of being a non smoker... But the reality of being one is soooooooo awesome ! :) Hey gen.. I made sure that when I stopped smoking ALL remnants were discarded immediately. And hopefully you won't have dreams of smoking because it was pretty disturbing ! Hope you're having a good day today too :) J xo My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 558 Amount Saved: $225.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 12 Mins: 19 Seconds: 50

I find it amazing that I haven't actually dreamed of smoking yet. I do dream of being on this site! and conversations I have on it. I found an ashtray with a load of butts in it the other dqay (outside) and I just thought they smelled disgusting. Hope you're having a nice day. gen :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 469 Amount Saved: 203 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 20 Mins: 7 Seconds: 38

Done the same Jean. Actual stake outs for those cigs you bought and smoked. One night in the future you will have a dream where you refrain from smoking, a non-smoker dream, and it will be wonderful ;) Audrey My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/16/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 100 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,006 Amount Saved: $280 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 18 Mins: 16 Seconds: 51

All night long I was having the MOST vivid dreams of smoking. I woke up at least a 1/2 dozen times swearing that I just had a cig !?!?! I actually had to get up and check around my home to be sure there were no ashtray's with butts :8o: Thank goodness it was just a series of dreams :) J xo My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 557 Amount Saved: $225.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 12 Mins: 12 Seconds: 49

My dream was that I was a magician at a vintage nightclub, looked like the 40's or 50's. Boy was I good, you should have seen me! Kinda weird waking up and clearly remembering dreams.
