Confrontation

I agree with what Changing said.. Also it's all in the delivery plus being tactful as well as respectful of another's feelings. And just thought of this one - It's very important to be more comforting and offering gentleness when someone is down or has even slipped or relapsed. That's when the person comes here, not looking for pity but for quite the opposite.. encouragement and open arms welcoming that person back regardless why they are down, slipped or relapsed. Maybe tough love is good for various situations and one just has to decide how far to take it.... and there's my 2 cents worth. Bear - Your straight-forwardness is part of your appeal. We all know that you will be honest with us, offer tough-love at times, and be a support through thick & thin. In general, I think that confrontation is a good thing - as long as it's done respectfully and for a positive reason. I also think that speaking up & being confrontation is a skill a lot of us lack - it can be uncomfortable and scary. I'm wondering why you asked this question....did someone say something or did something happen? I was just wondering do you think confrontational is a bad thing ?? I have away about me that says call a spade a spade and not a shovel. Which means I,ll get in your face when it comes to quiting smoking. If this offends you tell me about it..There are no excuses for not quiting . ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 749 Amount Saved: $410 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 20 Mins: 4 Seconds: 25
