Are my feelings fooling with me?

Hi Tony, Congratulations on being a Februarian/Febularian! This is a great place to come to when an "urge" hits. By the time I've read a few posts, the urge is gone, and I've picked up new motivation and encouragement, or I'm just LMAO!! (usually Tutti's fault) If I call them urges, they seem much smaller ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 49 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 891 Amount Saved: $269.5 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 19 Mins: 32 Seconds: 57

Hi Tony - We're almost quit-twins -- I stopped smoking 2 days before you did! So, I can relate to what you're going through. This is a rollercoaster we're on - some great parts and some scary/hard parts - but the important thing is that we're committed to the ride! So, keep your seatbelt tight and take my hand if you need some support - I'm right beside you! Tony, This can be normal. Continue to come up with coping mechanisms and activities to keep you occupied. This will help you push through those craves and move forward within your journey :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team

Tony, Congratulations on 43 days! Wow, that's awesome to see your numbers. You can set up your quit meter by clicking on the SSC Quit Meter link on the left hand side of this page and following the instructions that pop up. Once you've downloade the meter, it will automaticaly appear on every post if you check off the box in the reply window that says "Show my Quit Meter". Don't worry about being good at this stuff, be happy you are good at not smoking...that's the important thing here. You should feel good, great, wonderful, proud and extatic about not smoking for 43 days. :) I understand it's not at all unusual to have times when we suddenly have cravings or thoughts come out of the blue (I've been lucky it hasn't happened to me). Were you using NRT gum as a quitting aide? If so, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you make any changes or have any questions. Some of our members who've used the gum may offer their thoughts. Just keep taking it minute by minute, hour by hour and it will get easier. Keep posting, you can do this and the good people here will help you in any way they can. Hi Tony, I don't know that I can give you any insight, but I can tell you that you are an inspiration to me with your 43 days! That's great. There are so many people here with great advice who have helped me, so just look around, I'm sure you will find just what you need. In the meantime, I can help with your Quit Meter. On the screen you use to type your post, there is a place at the bottom (right above the "preview" button) where you can check the box to show your meter. Congratulations on 43 days, great job!!!
