Hi gang -
I didn't really think about Chantix withdrawal until I quit...and started to feel bad. I wish I could say it was all in my head, but the cravings were strong and very real. The only thing that I question was my 'stomach flu' on day three. It could have really been a stomach flu, but soon after I took a Chantix, my symptoms started to go away. Today is my second day back on one Chantix a day, and I feel great.
I thought that I would stay with one pill in the AM for a week or two, then taper to one every other day for a few weeks. S-L-O-W-L-Y. If it takes me a month or so, I'm OK with that.
I know I have to quit taking it someday, but there are reports 'floating' around other newsgroups of a lot of people having problems stopping. Their doctors don't know what to say because this is new to them as well. On the bright side, there are a lot of people who have had no problem at all.
Hey, even if they told me I had to take a little blue pill everyday for the rest of my life to stay away from smoking, I would.
