spinning LED poi is really great fun and exercise. I also spin fire poi. Basically POI is any sort of ball at the end of a string or chain that you swing around in patterns. LED poi shines in the dark and makes really big tracer patterns when you spin them because they are lit inside with LED lights.

Newageseer, Smoking in dreams is much better than picking up the habit again. I look at my smoking dreams as my reinforcement that I am doing the right thing. If I am smoking there, I am not smoking in the here and now. That's what counts. When I awaken I feel so good that it was only a dream. That's how old Nic tries to get you. Stay strong! You are amazing! Thanks so much Butterfly Swimmer! It's just nice to hear that someone else has these disturbing dreams! Not that I want anyone to have them, just nice to be understood. I am not sure if wanting to lose weight is what triggered them (because when I smoked I didn't eat) or if it's the weather, or if it's because I have been learning a new ummm sport, for lack of a better word, that requires learning tricks and choreography, so that is very challenging. But yeah, I see your point, just realize that it's a dream and not to put too much into it. On a positive note, my hubby's band won a battle of the bands contest today, so he is very happy and I performed at the event spinning LED poi. It was my first real public performance. So- I suppose the smoking dreams could have related to the performance anxiety for my first good sized show. I guess I will find out tonite if I have the dream again or not lol. Welcome Newageseer! I can totally relate to the dream thing... when I first quit, I would turn down cigarettes in my dreams! I thought "Hey! This MUST be it for me... I won't even smoke in my dreams!!!" But then, I did start smoking in my dreams and it really disturbed me... especially because I too would have increased cravings the day after a smoking dream. And, it bothered me that I was so flippant about smoking in my dreams... it was like I didn't even care! But then, I quit having them... they just all of a sudden quit... until 2 days ago! Now, I'm having smoking dreams again, but I'm totally disgusted with smoking and end up putting out the cigarette, while hacking and coughing. It's like I've come a full circle with the dreams. So yes, I can relate to your dream thing. The thing for me was as soon as I accepted the dreams as not real, then I suddenly quit having them. It was hard, but I had to come to terms with the fact that even if I smoked in my dreams, there was no way in HELL that I was smoking in real life... and then the dreams went away (until, as I said, the other night when I had one after I'd told a co-worker that I wanted to smoke, and I think that caused the smoking dream that night). So I guess my advice to you is to try to not stress over the dreams. Accept them as your sub-concious working out whatever it has to work out, but that you're not going to smoke in real life, so it really doesn't matter how many smoking dreams you have. Once you do this, you might find that the smoking dreams go away. Welcome again to the site! Good to have you! Crave the Quit! Thank goodness someone else knows what I am talking about with the dreams. My dr. said she had dreams too for the first couple of years. I was just worried because the dream had changed from being upset that I had blown it, to not caring and maybe a little "in your face- I can do it if I want" attitude. I told myself when I quit that I can have a cigarette anytime I want one. I just have to walk over to kwik shop (about 2 blocks away) and buy a pack. Laziness helps in this case! I am trying to lose weight and when I smoked, I didn't eat. So that is probably my trigger. And CONGRATS to ANGEL on your almost year! sharon My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/12/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1414 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 103,222 Amount Saved: $12726 Life Gained: Days: 137 Hrs: 13 Mins: 55 Seconds: 3

Newageseer, Of course you should be here, we are happy to have you! Everybody needs help sometimes and that is what we are here for so welcome :) First off, congratulations on 4 years. Truly an outstanding achievement! Take some time and look back to when you were a smoker. Why did you smoke? Boredom? Stress? Sadness? Have you filled that void so to speak now that you've quit? I'd also like to ask you what you've gotten out of your quit? When was the last time you rewarded yourself with something pleasurable for staying smoke free? Newageseer - First of all - of course you should be here! Now a question...What do you think these dreams are about/what might they mean?
